TPE: TPE is a thermoplastic elastomer with excellent characteristics. It is similar to rubber, but is generally used in place of PVC compared to which it is softer, more elastic and has greater resistance to low and high temperatures. TPE grommets have excellent resistance to low and high temperatures, have good resistance to water, ozone, atmospheric agents, acids, aqueous saline solutions, aliphatic and chlorinated solvents and detergents; they have a fair resistance to ketones, mineral oils and petrol and excellent resistance to aging. They are endowed with extreme flexibility and elasticity and good electrical properties. Furthermore, they do not contain halogens. TPE 40 ShA is an even softer compound.
